Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo is named Premier League manager of the month for June

Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo has been named Premier League manager of the month for June after overseeing three wins in a row without conceding a goal.
The Portuguese boss took the opportunity to recognise his staff as he posed with the award, standing behind his coaching group in recognition of the work they have done in getting players fit again ahead of the season restart.
The 46-year-old was voted as the winner of the award by supporters, beating off competition from Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Chelsea manager Frank Lampard and Newcastle’s Steve Bruce.
In a picture posted on the club’s Twitter account, Espirito Santo stood proudly at the back of the group of six staff members who played a key role in the club’s preparations to return to Premier League action after months of football suspension during the coronavirus pandemic.
This included analyst Tom Male, who is responsible for overseeing GPS tracking in the first team, club doctor Matthew Perry and soft tissue therapist Matt Wignall – who stood in the centre of the picture holding the award.
Wignall has worked with the Wolves first team for 14 years after joining in 2005, travelling with the players for all games and providing sports massage treatment.
