COVID-19: Nigeria toll hits 44,890; 927 deaths

Nigeria on Wednesday recorded 457 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) bringingthe total number of confirmed case in the country to 44,890.

This was disclosed in a tweet late Wednesday by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).

According to the NCDC, Lagos State, the epicentre of the pandemic in the country led with 137 new cases, followed by the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) with 76.

The health agency added that so far, a total of 32,165 patients have been discharged after recovering from the virus, with the death toll now 927.
