Daughter Witnesses Her Mother Being Strangled To Death By Father

 

A Nigerian woman called Wayesola was strangled to death by her husband Gbenro in her sleep.

According to reports, the incideent happened in the early hours of Tuesday, March 23 at Salvation Army Street, Odojumu, Ondo, Akure. Their daughter, Fayoke recounted how her father garroted her mother to death.

The Nation reported that Fayoke said she witnessed her father strangling her m other when she woke up to ease herself. She was struck by fear after her father threatened her life.

The panicking girl raised alarm with a loud cry which attracted neighbours to the scene to see that her mother has died. Wayesola’s brother was called on after the neighbours barred Gbenro from escaping.

According to ASP Tee-Leo Ikoro, of the Ondo Police Command, the issue is currently being handled by the CID for more investigation.
