Two Cameroonians, 38 others held for arms dealing

 


Two Cameroonian suspects have been arrested for illegally dealing in arms in Cross River State.


The foreigners were among 40 persons paraded by police in Calabar, the state capital, yesterday for sundry crimes.

Commissioner of Police Sikiru Akande, who paraded the suspects, said, “Today, we have paraded 40 persons suspected to be involved in various crimes who were arrested within two weeks and we will continue to do more to make sure that Cross River and Calabar in particular remain are crime-free,” Akande assured .


The Cameroonian suspects Ojong Valentine, 28, and Ayuk Serge Enow, 35, said they wanted to buy arms and go back to their country.
