BREAKING: Many feared killed as gunmen invade Abia cattle market
Gunmen have reportedly killed several persons during an invasion of the newly constructed Abia cattle market in Omumauzor in Ukwa West local area of Abia State.
According to The Nation, the Tuesday midnight attack kept the villagers apprehensive.
It was gathered that security operatives have taken over the area to maintain peace.
MuchTalksBlog recalls that in December in 2021, a police officer, Inspector Friday Adama was killed during an attack by gunmen on headquarters of the Abia State Police Command in Umuahia, the state capital.
The gunmen, who were disguised in military camouflage, opened fire on policemen on pin-down duty in front of the 28 Police Mobile Force beside the state command headquarters, Bende Road, Umuahia.
