Tragedy: Car Crushes 3 Teachers To Death In Ogun

 Three teachers were yesterday confirmed dead, while one other was seriously injured in an accident which occurred at Ajebo village, along the Lagos – Ibadan expressway.The crash which involved a Toyota Camry car marked: (LAGOS) EPE 140 BP, happened at Alapako, directly opposite the office of the Ogunmakin unit of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) of the expressway.

It was gathered that the victims of the crash were all female teachers of a public school who were waiting to board vehicles to their various homes after the school hours before they were killed by the vehicle.

The Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the state’s Traffic Enforcement agency (TRACE), Babatunde Akinbiyi who confirmed the accident explained that driver of the car had one of the front tyres suddenly pulled out, thereby ramming into the teachers who were standing by the road side.

Akinbiyi further said that the injured was taken to a private hospital in Ogere, while the dead were deposited at the FOS Mortuary, Ipara, by the Operatives of the FRSC.

The TRACE Spokesman also said that the accident vehicle had also been evacuated and taken to the Alapako Police Station, Ogun State.
