Gov Amosun’s Aide Dies in Accident on Election Eve

Adeniyi Adesanya, an aide of Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun state, died in an accident close to Abeokuta, the state capital on Friday.

Taiwo Adeoluwa, Secretary to the State government, who was also involved in the accident is currently recuperating at the Federal Medical Center, Idi-Aba, Abeokuta.

Clement Oladele, sector commander, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Ogun, confirmed the accident though he did not give details on the cause.

“ The crash occurred around Day Water Man College, close to Kobape, Abeokuta . The SSG is responding to medical treatment and he is about being discharged from the hospital,” he said.

“I actually spoke with him and he is recuperating well.”

The corpse of Adesanya had been deposited at the morgue where Adeoluwa is being treated, TheCable writes.

Having served two terms as governor, Amosun is contesting the Ogun central senatorial district election under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
