"Man Utd Want To Beat Us To Prevent Us From Winning The League" — Salah
Liverpool's Egyptian winger Mohamed Salah has admitted that his side is under pressure in their Premier League campaign this season, stressing that Liverpool's upcoming game against Manchester United will be very tough.
The Reds will visit the Old Trafford on Sunday as Jurgen Klopp's men will be looking for a win to get three points clear of Manchester City in the summit of the league table.
"We certainly want to win the league," Salah told beIN Sports on Thursday.
"We haven’t won the title for 29 years, everyone is focused on winning this term and all media is saying this is Liverpool’s year."
"It creates some pressure but we need to win every game to realise our target and win the title."
The 26-year-old highlighted the importance of his side's upcoming clash against Manchester United on Sunday as he believes that the game will be very tough for both sides.
"Man United won their last 10-11 games and it’s a great thing for them. They regained confidence and they came back in a good position in the league."
"They [Man United] are confident right now and everyone knows how much they want to beat Liverpool to stop them from winning the title, but we want to clinch victory, that’s all I can say."
The Egyptian international produced many fine displays with Liverpool this season that saw him leading the list of the Premier League top scorers list with 17 goals.
