South African Actor Sibusiso Khwinana Murdered in Pretoria

Matwetwe lead actor Sibusiso Khwinana reportedly is dead.

According to Timeslive , the actor was stabbed in Pretoria on Friday night over a cellphone. And his death has stirred heartrending reactions on social media.

Confirming his death, the police said that the actor was allegedly approached by a suspect who demanded his phone. He was fatally stabbed while they were wrestling for the device.

His death has triggered a conversation on the shocking rate of criminal activities in South Africa. Only a few days ago, 27-year-old Thoriso Themane, from Polokwane, was fatally assaulted by a group of high school pupils.

Khwinana rose to fame following his role in Matwetwe which was directed by comedian Kagiso Lediga and co-produced by DJ Black Coffee. The film made R2m in the first eight days.
