'Game Of Thrones' Star Emilia Clarke Shares Photos From Brain Surgery
Actress Emilia Clarke has entertained us one and all over these years as popular fictional character Daenerys Targaryen from the hit HBO series ‘Game of Thrones’. While she mounted the charts of fame with the show, growing in popularity as an actress -- there was something big she suffered from.
Emilia, we informed you earlier , suffered from life-threatening brain aneurysm in the year 2011 when she was merely 24-years-old. She has now released photos of herself as she underwent treatment from the illness.
Now 32, Emilia revealed in an interview that she survived two brain aneurysms while filming ‘Game of Thrones’. The second of this nearly killer her, she said.
At the time she said, "The first time it was difficult, with the second one I found it much harder to stay optimistic. (I coped with it as a) a day-to-day thing. I definitely went through a period of being... down - putting it mildly."
In photos now released, she can be seen lying on a hospital bed holding her phone, with the red dragon sigil for House Targaryen visible on the back of her phone case. In another image, she is looking at the camera with a medical tube attached to her head.
On her return to the show after the surgery, Emilia said that she had no time to think of the illness. She said, “I had no time to question my own mortality" because she was too busy playing a "bada*s character who walked through fire".

As most her fans wouldn’t understand what the illness meant, she explained that when a part of your brain is starved of blood for more than a minute, it dies.
