Kara Bridge Along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway Shut Down By FG

The Federal Government has shut down the Kara Bridge on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

This was revealed by the Federal Ministry of Works stating that the closure of the bridge is to carry out integrity tests.

It could be recalled that a tanker accident that claimed two lives occurred on the Kara Bridge a few days ago.

In a letter addressed to the Lagos State Government, the support of the state was solicited for the success of the job.

It reads;

“We now request the support of the Lagos State Government in terms of handling the expected high traffic volume that may be generated along the axis during the work and also to help evacuate the wreckage of the accident still on site.”
