Manchester United star Fred ‘set to sign new extension to £130,000-a-week contract’

Fred is ready to sign a new contract with Manchester United after his remarkable turnaround in form for the club.
The former Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder struggled during his first season at Old Trafford after signing for £52million in 2018.
But he is now ready to extend his current £130,000-a-week deal which expires in three years according to The Sun

FRED’S 2019-20 SEASON SO FAR

Appearances: 40
Goals: 2
Assists: 4
Yellow cards: 11
Red cards: 0
The 27-year-old midfielder has become one of the first names on the team-sheet at United this season.
Fred now wants a bump-up in wages to reflect that with some fresh incentives if his side qualify for the Champions League.
The Red Devils are hoping he can help them finish in the top four but know that they could qualify for Europe’s elite competition if they finish fifth and Manchester City’s Champions League ban is upheld.
A source told The Sun: ‘There was no doubt to Fred’s ability, but he found it difficult in the beginning.
‘He has properly settled now – that includes his young family. He knows he has the full backing of Ole.
‘United were happy to hear Fred sees himself here for a long time – things have come full circle.’
Fred looked as though he was on the verge of leaving the club under previous manager Jose Mourinho as he only made 12 Premier League starts last season.
But he has now been revitalised under Ole Gonna Solskjaer and is keen to stay for a long time.
The Brazil international held talks with the club throughout the early part of the season in an aim to boost his confidence.
United are believed to be in no rush to hand him a new contract but talks are expected to take place at the end of the year.
Fred’s colleague Scott McTominay signed a new contract with the club on Tuesday and it looks like the Brazilian will be next.
