Joshua responds to Fury’s trash talk ahead of blockbuster showdown
Tyson Fury has begun the war of words ahead of the biggest fight in British boxing history by vowing to knock-out “big bum dosser” Anthony Joshua in three rounds.
Fury watched Joshua knock out Kubrat Pulev in nine rounds to retain his WBA Super, IBF and WBO heavyweight titles and immediately called him out on social media.
The unbeaten Gypsy King seized on Joshua’s hesitancy when asked if he wanted his great rival next.
“There you go everyone, Anthony Joshua just s**t himself live on television,” said Fury.
“He got asked if he wants the fight and he went around the bushes and put his a**e in the hedge.
“I want the fight, I want the fight next. I will knock him out inside three rounds.
“He’s a big bum dosser and I cannot wait to knock him spark out.”
Always a cool customer, Joshua shrugged off Fury’s taunts that he will KO him and said: “That’s good to hear.
“At least I can get him in the ring. Tyson Fury is talented and will bring out the best in me.”
Promoter Eddie Hearn hopes to finalise the fight contract with Fury’s camp within days and said what everyone knows that AJ behaves with more dignity.
“AJ is not the kind of guy who will scream and shout on TV and call people dossers,” said the Matchroom MD. “We will let Tyson do that.”
Joshua and Fury’s historic showdown for the undisputed title in late May could generate as much as £100million for each fighter in the Middle East and Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Abu Dhabi are keen.
“There’s no reason we cannot sign the deal in days and then go to the various sites,” said Hearn.
