Don’t Stay Silent If You Have Been Sexually Harassed – Actress Stephanie Linus To Females
Nollywood actress and advocate Stephanie Linus has urged women who are victims of sexual harassment to speak up.
In one of her advocacy videos in partnership with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in Nigeria, she disclosed that most females who suffer from sexual harassment are female students in the tertiary. According to her, many students are threatened by lecturers with exam failure or other disturbing consequences if they refuse to succumb.
“Sexual harassment thrives when perpetrators are able to subject their victims into silence. I would like to say to every young girl who might be experiencing this in one form or the other – you have a voice, and it is time to use it!” she urged victims.
