How to share Google Chrome web page with a QR code
QR codes are popular. From making a digital payment to mirroring your WhatsApp on the web, QR codes have many applications.
Did you know that you can also create a QR code for a specific web page on Google Chrome and share it with your contacts?
If you did not know about this feature, here’s a step-by-step guide to get started:
Sharing pages with a QR code on your computer:
Step 1: Open the Chrome browser on your PC.
Step 2: Open the page you want to share.
Step 3: Select the address bar on the top.
Step 4: Click on the QR code icon that appears on the right-hand corner.
Step 5: Copy the QR link or scan the QR code using your (compatible) phone’s camera.
You can also create a QR code by right-clicking on a web page and selecting “Create QR code for this page” from the menu.
On your Android device
Step 1: Open the Chrome browser on your mobile phone/tablet.
Step 2: Open the web page you want to share.
Step 3: Next to the toolbar, tap on the three dot-menu.
Step 4: Tap on Share. Select QR code.
Step 5: You can download the QR Code image. You can scan the code from another device’s camera or share the downloaded file with your contact.
