QR codes are popular. From making a digital payment to mirroring your WhatsApp on the web, QR codes have many applications.

Did you know that you can also create a QR code for a specific web page on Google Chrome and share it with your contacts?

If you did not know about this feature, here’s a step-by-step guide to get started:

Sharing pages with a QR code on your computer:

Step 1: Open the Chrome browser on your PC.

Step 2: Open the page you want to share.

Step 3: Select the address bar on the top.

Step 4: Click on the QR code icon that appears on the right-hand corner.

Step 5: Copy the QR link or scan the QR code using your (compatible) phone’s camera.

You can also create a QR code by right-clicking on a web page and selecting “Create QR code for this page” from the menu.

On your Android device

Step 1: Open the Chrome browser on your mobile phone/tablet.

Step 2: Open the web page you want to share.

Step 3: Next to the toolbar, tap on the three dot-menu.

Step 4: Tap on Share. Select QR code.

Step 5: You can download the QR Code image. You can scan the code from another device’s camera or share the downloaded file with your contact.
