Gunmen Kidnap Two Chinese Nationals In Ogun
Two Chinese nationals working with a fishery and poultry company have been kidnapped by gunmen at Oba community, Obafemi-Owode Local Government Area of Ogun State.
The two foreigners were kidnapped on Wednesday afternoon at their place of work after the gunmen invaded the community in their numbers around 3pm, shooting sporadically into the air, causing panic among residents.
It was gathered that as residents scampered for safety, the gunmen proceeded in picking up their targets and escaped.
MuchTalksBlog learnt that the gunmen gained access into the community through the River Ogun, which serves as a natural boundary for the town.
The traditional ruler of the town, Oba Abdul-Ganiyu Sanyaolu, who confirmed the incident to newsmen said two Chinese nationals – a male and a female, were taken away by the bandits.
Corroborating the claim of the traditional ruler, the Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said the abductors escaped through the same River Ogun which they accessed the community.
