A recent incident in Ikere-Ekiti, Ekiti State, involved an armed robbery targeting commercial banks, resulting in injuries to numerous customers, although the exact death toll remains unconfirmed.

According to SaharaReporters, gunshots rang out in the town, prompting residents and passersby to seek safety.

At present, the full extent of damage inflicted by the robbers on the banks remains unknown.

Reports indicate that social and business activities came to a standstill for several hours in the town, halting both human and vehicular movements during the robbery.

Residents mentioned that the robbers employed dynamite to force entry into the banks and absconded with unspecified sums of money.
