Breaking: Lagos stops planned reopening of Churches, Mosque
The Lagos State government has stopped the planned reopening of churches and mosques scheduled for June 19 over the rising cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) in the country.
This comes a day after the state government commenced the issuance of compliance certificates to verified social centres and clubs in a bid to fully reopen the state’s economy after months of shutdown.
But amid rising cases of the dreaded disease, the state government has now announced that religious centres will not be reopening as planned.
Lagos State is the epicentre of the pandemic in Nigeria with a total of 7, 319 confirmed cases and 82 deaths so far.
