Three Warehouse Managers, Connives And Steals Their Boss' Good Worth N32milion
Operatives of the Federal Special Anti-robbery Squad, FSARS, Adeniji Adele Road, Lagos Island, Lagos have arrested three warehouse managers for allegedly stealing their employer’s goods valued at N32.5 million.
Police identified the suspects as Ido Augustine, 32, Gift Ngbarzia, 39 and Blessing Sunmola, 47.
The feat, according to a police source was achieved by the Deputy Commissioner of Police, DCP in charge of FSARS Lagos, Mr Ibrahim Kaoje who directed a team led by SP Abel Ademola to fish out the suspects and recover the stolen goods following a complaint by the owner of the goods, Black Pelican Ltd.
The source said that following the directives, SP Ademola and his team swung into action and arrested the suspects at a hideout in Lagos.
Police named some of the properties allegedly stolen from the complainant’s warehouse by the suspects to include factory-built refrigerator, valued at N533,513,000 dual flush concealed Cistern set support valued N7,109,433, Lily Water closet/Cistem/seat and cover, valued at N259.371.38; CDK wash basin valued N330,340.91 and second floor mounted bidet valued N143,696.65.
Others included Starch I furniture Wash basin(80cm) three hole valued N262,549.65; D-code handrinse basin valued N133,670.000, D-code wall hung, valued at N1,592,972,50 and others all valued at N32,524,281, property of Black Pelkcan Ltd.
During investigation, according to the police, all the suspects allegedly confessed to the crime that they could only remember that they stole a factory-built refrigerator and sold it to one Alhaji whom they could not locate.
The suspects were charged before an Igbosere Magistrate Court on a two-count charge of felony to wit, stealing.
The accused, however, pleaded not guilty to the alleged crime in the open court and Magistrate B.I Bakare granted them bail in the sum of N1m each with two sureties each in like sum.
Bakare adjourned the case till 1 August, 2018 for mentioned. and ordered that the defendants be kept at Ikoyi Prison till they perfected the bail conditions.
