Everton star Richarlison confirms offer to join Manchester United

Manchester United failed with a bid to sign Everton forward Richarlison in January as the Brazilian didn’t want to leave the Toffees midway through a campaign.
The striker joined Everton from Watford for a fee of £50m in 2018 and the 23-year-old already has 19 caps with Brazil’s national side to his name.
United were desperate to sign a striker in January after Marcus Rashford suffered a back fracture that looked to have ended his season.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side tabled offers for Erling Haaland and Joshua King before scrambling together a six-month loan deal for Odion Ighalo.
‘There were lots of offers during the season, from Barcelona and from Manchester United,’ Richarlison told Desimpedidos.
‘But the club opted to keep me in the group and I didn’t want to leave in the middle of the season. It’s bad to leave team-mates like this’.
Richarlison was a target for Jose Mourinho in 2018 when the Portuguese coach was still at Old Trafford.
The Brazilian has impressed since joining Watford in 2017 and Richarilison admits playing at the Theatre of Dreams was a dream come true when he first played at Old Trafford.
‘When I arrived at Old Trafford, the sun was shining right in the middle of the pitch’ continued Richarlison.
‘I was impressed because it’s a beautiful stadium. You arrive there and feel an atmosphere that’s different’.
