Frank Lampard describes Kai Havertz as a ‘top player’ but insists Chelsea have yet to bid for him
Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has described Kai Havertz as a ‘top player’ but insists the club has yet to make an offer for the German wonderkid.
Sportsmail revealed earlier this month how Chelsea were keen on the Bayer Leverkusen attacking midfielder, 21, who is valued at £75million or more.
The Blues are likely to face stiff competitions from other suitors, including Real Madrid, should they try and sign Havertz during the summer window.
And Lampard, speaking ahead of Chelsea’s home fixture with Manchester City on Thursday, said: ‘He is obviously a top player but we are not going to comment on players of other teams. No bids have gone in.’
