Adult Film Star Ron Jeremy Charged With Raping Three Women
Ron Jeremy has been charged by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office with raping three women and sexually assaulting a fourth.
According to THR, the adult film star was charged with three counts each of forcible rape and forcible penetration by a foreign object and one count each of forcible oral copulation and sexual battery.
Details of the charges said the 67-year-old whose real name is Ronald Jeremy Hyatt, forcibly raped a 25-year-old woman at a home in West Hollywood. Hyatt allegedly sexually assaulted two women, ages 33 and 46, on separate occasions at a West Hollywood bar in 2017.
Hyatt also is accused of forcibly raping a 30-year-old woman at the same bar in July 2019.
If convicted as charged, the defendant faces a possible maximum sentence of 90 years to life in state prison.
His arraignment was initially scheduled for Tuesday afternoon, but was continued to Friday. Jeremy remains in jail, his bail set at $6.6 million.
Shortly after this story surfaced, Jeremy’s manager informed The Hollywood Reporter that he had been dropped as a client, saying in part that the agency stuck by Jermey when he was the focus of a 2017 Rolling Stone feature in which he was accused of sexual misconduct because, at the time, he provided proof of his innocence, claimed Dante Rusciolelli, owner of Golden Artists Entertainment.
“However, today the district attorney in Los Angeles is bringing charges of sexual misconduct against him, and we were not given any proof of his innocence at this time,” Rusciolelli told THR. “We hope that these allegations against him are not true, but if they are, we hope that he is prosecuted.”
