On Friday, July 30, 2021, the remains of Usifo Ataga, the slain CEO of Super TV, will be laid to rest.

After a funeral service at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Victoria Island, Lagos, the body will be buried at the Ebony Vaults in Ikoyi, Lagos.

Today, July 30, at The Incubator on Victoria Island, a song service was conducted in his honor.

Brenda, the deceased’s wife, said learning of his death was the worst news she had ever received.
She stated she had been anticipating witnessing his expression if he had stepped into the surprise birthday party she had prepared for him.

“Sifo you had a heart of gold, a pure heart, you were kind, patient, humble, fun, loving. You could intrigue a room for hours. Such positive energy.

Finding out of your demise was the worst news imaginable. My mind had raced through all the possibilities of where you were and what could have happened but death, death wasn’t an option.

The girls and I were looking forward to seeing you, to celebrate your milestone.

I had imagined how surprised you would be when you walked in to see a place set up for you. I had imagined the infectious smile.

Now, I’m yet to comprehend the start reality that your 

life was cut short in your prime, at a renaissance of all you had toiled for. .. I’m lost for word.” she said

Eboselulu and Emoata, their two daughters, hailed their late father as a wonderful man who always attentively listened to their issues.

Ataga’s body was discovered in a flat in Lekki, Lagos, a few days after his family reported him missing. Chidinma Ojukwu, a University of Lagos student, was eventually apprehended by police and admitted to stabbing him many times, leading to his death.
She later walked out of the flat where they were staying to retrieve some goods and returned to find him in a pool of his own blood, reversing her assertion.
