Everton pay tribute to Marcus Rashford at Goodison Park
Everton have paid tribute to Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford before kick off.
The England international has done a lot of work to campaign against child food poverty in the UK, and it’s something that all football clubs and supporters can get behind.
Everton may not like United, and we wouldn’t expect them to — being from Merseyside, but they still showed their class this afternoon by showing a tribute for Marcus Rashford on the electronic scoreboard at Goodison Park.
Rashford will obviously appreciate the gesture but it’s about winning the game now and not getting cosy with the opponents.
The work Rashford has done off the pitch has been remarkable. Today we need him to keep it up, on the pitch.
Check out the tribute for Rashford at Goodison Park below:
It reads: “Thank you for sticking up for our kids who needed a voice, here on Merseyside, and across the country. The Everton Fans’ Forum”
